📌Overview

Fireye INSIGHT 95DSS2-1 is a microprocessor-based flame scanner equipped with dual solid-state infrared and ultraviolet sensors and a built-in flame relay with adjustable ON/OFF thresholds. The device uses DC power supply and determines whether a flame is present based on the amplitude of flame flicker fluctuations detected. The 95DSS2-1 is equipped with an 8-character alphanumeric LED display and a four-button keypad, allowing local viewing of operating parameters and modification of set values. The series is divided into the S1 standard version and S2 enhanced version. Interfaces are available in a standard version with a 12-pin quick connector and CG models with a built-in 3 m fixed cable. Fiber-optic mounting versions are also available.

Installation

1. The installation location should be away from high-temperature radiation. The lens must not directly contact the flame. Ensure that the entire field of view is properly aligned with the target flame and avoid obstruction by refractory materials inside the furnace.
2. The CG cable version comes with a built-in 3 m fixed cable. The cable should be properly protected and kept away from high-temperature and high-vibration areas.

Commissioning and Settings

1. Select the appropriate flame flicker modulation frequency and sensor gain according to the actual fuel and combustion load. After automatic tuning is completed for the 95DSS2-1 S2 model, an ignition/flame-out test must be performed to verify operation.
2. Set the flame relay ON/OFF thresholds appropriately. If the threshold is set too high, the flame may not be detected.
3. Use the internal parameter storage files. After changing the fuel or combustion load, call the corresponding stored parameters. Save the configuration after commissioning is completed.
