Endress+Hauser (E+H) TMT31-2087/0 Temperature Transmitter is a single-channel temperature transmitter. The temperature transmitter is mainly used to convert signals from Pt100/Pt1000 resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) or thermocouples (TCs) into standard analog outputs. TMT31-2087/0 supports two installation modes: installation inside a B-type terminal head or DIN rail mounting in a control cabinet.

⚙️ Mechanical Installation Precautions

  1. Strict Torque Control: The maximum torque for the terminal head fixing screws is 1 Nm (Z2 screwdriver); the maximum torque for the terminal block screws is 0.35 Nm (Z1 screwdriver). Excessive torque may strip the threads or damage the housing/terminals, while insufficient torque may cause poor contact and loss of explosion-proof protection.
  2. Installation Orientation: When the TMT31-2087/0 transmitter is installed in the terminal head, power supply terminals 1 and 2 must face the cable entry. The sensor cable must pass through the central 7 mm hole. Do not pull the wires forcefully.
  3. Mandatory Explosion-Proof Requirement: After wiring is completed, the terminal head cover must be tightened and securely locked. Failure to tighten the cover will result in loss of Ex explosion-proof protection. Opening the cover while operating in hazardous areas is strictly prohibited.
  4. Do not apply excessive pressure to, drop, or impact the TMT31-2087/0 transmitter. When the terminal head is directly installed on the temperature measuring insert, avoid transferring mechanical stress to the transmitter body.
