Overview：
GE Fanuc IC695PSA140 is a versatile 40 W power supply module for the PACSystems RX3i universal backplane. The module supports a wide AC/DC input range, load sharing, and redundant power supply operation. A single module occupies 2 backplane slots. The backplane can accommodate up to 4 multi-purpose power supplies of the same series (PSA140 / PSD140), suitable for RX3i systems with a large number of modules or applications where the power capacity of a single power supply is insufficient.
- Power (Green / Amber): Green = normal power is being supplied to the backplane; Amber = the module is powered on, but the power switch is in the OFF position.
- P/S Fault (Red): Power supply fault; insufficient voltage is being output to the backplane.
- Over Temperature (Amber): The temperature is approaching or exceeding the maximum operating temperature.
- Overload (Amber): At least one output is approaching or exceeding the maximum output capacity.
Features:
Default Fault Latching Shutdown (Protection for Redundant Systems): After an overload, over-temperature condition, or power supply fault, the IC695PSA140 does not restart automatically. The IC695PSA140 must have the input power cycled once to clear the latched fault. An optional jumper can be installed for non-redundant applications.
Protection Mechanism: The IC695PSA140 internally detects overloads and short circuits and automatically shuts down the output when a fault is triggered. A fuse link is built into the input circuit as backup protection. No separate indicator is provided when the fuse is blown. Over-temperature, overload, and power supply fault information is reported to the CPU fault table.
Misoperation Prevention Design: A power ON/OFF switch is located inside the front access door of the IC695PSA140. The switch controls the output only and does not disconnect the incoming main power. The switch also features a protective tab to help prevent accidental operation.
