Warning!

Filter replacement must be performed by professionals, because it involves a high-pressure gas system, which requires pressure relief, safe operation, and ensuring tightness. It usually includes: closing the gas cylinder valve, releasing system pressure, removing the old filter, cleaning the mounting seat, replacing the sealing ring, installing the new filter, tightening it according to the specified torque, and performing airtightness testing.

Core functions:
Filter impurities: Filter solid particle contaminants that may be contained in gas (CNG or LPG), such as:

  • Rust particles on the inner wall of the pipeline or gas cylinder.
  • Dust, oil, and water condensation brought in during the filling process at the gas station.
  • Metal debris, sealing material debris, etc. left during the manufacturing or transportation process.

Separate water/oil: Some high-efficiency filters also have a certain gas-liquid separation function, which can capture liquid water or oil droplets that may be contained in the gas (although the water/oil content of the treated gas should be very low, the filter is the last line of defense).

Protect key components: This is the main purpose. The protected components include:

  • Gas pressure reducing valve: This is one of the most sophisticated and expensive components. Impurities can block the tiny channels inside the pressure reducing valve, wear the valve core and the valve seat sealing surface, resulting in pressure reduction failure, unstable pressure, gas leakage, and even valve body damage.
  • Gas nozzle/injection rail: Impurities can clog the precise nozzle holes of the nozzle, resulting in inaccurate injection volume, uneven operation of each cylinder, reduced engine power, vibration, and worsening emissions.
  • Gas solenoid valve: Impurities may affect the normal opening and closing of the valve, resulting in difficulty in starting or lax closing.
