The 17th International Forum on Power Lithium Battery Technology and Industry Development in 2023 was held at the Tian'an Yungu International Conference Center in Guangming District, Shenzhen. The theme of this forum is "Challenges and Opportunities Facing the Power Battery Industry", with a total of 33 main forum theme reports and 22 youth forum theme reports.

At the forum, industry and technology experts and scholars such as Academician Chen Liquan, Academician Wu Feng, Academician Sun Shigang, and Academician Zhang Jiujun gathered to give a report on the development of power lithium battery technology and related industries. Wang Fangcheng, Deputy District Mayor of Guangming District, Shenzhen, He Xueqin, Chairman of Beiterui New Materials Group Co., Ltd., Wu Kai, Chief Scientist of CATL, and others attended the meeting.

As the core carrying area of Shenzhen's construction of a comprehensive national science center, Guangming District is accelerating the high-quality development of clusters around the city's "20+8" industrial layout. New energy is one of the key industrial directions for the development of Guangming District. At present, Guangming District has gathered a group of leading enterprises in the lithium battery industry, including Betray, Xinwangda, Zhijianeng, Xingyuan Materials, and Shoutong New Energy. In 2022, the output value of the new energy related industry will reach 10.4 billion yuan, and it is expected to reach 250 billion yuan by 2025.

Chen Shou, President of Shenzhen Battery Industry Association, stated that the association has successively carried out professional title evaluation for lithium battery engineering, solving the problem of promotion channels for professional and technical talents in the lithium battery industry; Promote the integration of industry and education, collaborate with Shenzhen Vocational University and 5 listed companies to establish Shenzhen's first lithium battery industry college, and explore new channels for vocational education and talent development with Hungary and other countries.
