Vertical Reciprocating Conveyor Lift Conveyors Systems

Depending on the type of their power mechanism, Vertical Reciprocating Conveyor Lift Conveyors Systems (VRCs) are mainly classified into two types: hydraulic and mechanical. Hydraulic VRCs utilise hydraulic cylinders to power the conveyor, while mechanical VRCs electrically power a lift for heavier loads. While mechanical VRCs are more dynamic in configuration and have a longer lifespan, their higher cost is a major disadvantage.

Functionally, the core objective of either type of VRC is to lift goods from a low to a high level. In production operations, VRCs are often used in conjunction with work platforms to facilitate the movement of components during assembly. To use a VRC, a gate is opened to place the load on the platform, then the gate is closed and secured to provide power to the VRC to move it upwards.
