Product description
Magnesium Aluminum Silicate Thixotropic Lubricant

Key words
Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Thixotropic Lubricant, House Structure, Concrete, Admixture

Thixotropic lubricants are primarily targeted for improved workability, open time and consistency in cementitious systems. Increase the construction performance and sag resistance of mortar, stucco, bottom ash, plastering mortar and adhesives, and prevent self-leveling cement delamination.

Taken from lamellar silicate mineral material. In aqueous systems, these phyllosilicate mineral materials can form a structure known as a trapezoid, a mechanism that increases the base viscosity within the system, but is weakened by external shear forces. Very easy to destroy. These additives are specially developed for dry powder and paste systems. They produce special effects and control viscosity, yield point, stability and workability.

Magnesium Aluminum Silicate
Natural soapstone and montmorillonite are selected as the main raw materials, which are milky white powder, non-toxic, odorless, tasteless, soft in texture and good in powder fluidity. It is insoluble in water or alcohol, chemically inert, and can form translucent thixotropic gel after high-speed dispersion or grinding in water. It is insensitive to pH changes and has strong adsorption capacity.

When the magnesium aluminum silicate is dispersed in water, colloidal sols and gels are formed. The viscosity of the aqueous dispersion varies with the content. When the content is 1-2%, the dispersion is a colloidal suspension, when it is more than 3%, it is a non-transparent body, and the viscosity increases rapidly. When the content is 4-5%, it is a thick white sol, and when it reaches 10%, it forms a hard sol. The usual dosage of magnesium aluminum silicate is 0.5 to 2.5%. Aqueous dispersions of magnesium aluminum silicate can be significantly denatured. When preparing dispersions, it is often necessary to properly heat and appropriately prolong the stirring time to achieve a certain consistency. When the magnesium aluminum silicate is mixed with a small amount of cellulose gum, the viscosity can be significantly increased, and it is stable for a long time. Aqueous dispersions of magnesium aluminum silicates thicken and even partially coagulate with certain electrolytes.
