Mucuna (scientific name: Mucuna pruriens (L.) DC. Var. Utilis (Wall. Ex Wight) Baker ex Burck) is a Leguminosae plant. Twisted vines annually. Branches slightly sparsely spread. Pinnate compound leaves with 3 leaflets; leaflets 6-15 cm long or over, 4.5-10 cm wide. Racemes drooping, 12-30 cm long, with more than 10-20 flowers. The pods are 8-12 cm long and 18-20 mm wide; 6-8 seeds, light yellow and white. Flowering in October, fruiting in November.
