Pipeline Y type strainer

As the name implies, a strainer helps screen out particulate matter in a piping system. Although steam traps get most of the glory, strainers also play an important role in the efficient operation of a well-designed system.

Wanan offers strainers in a wide choice of sizes and materials to meet most pipeline straining requirements. All of our strainers are made to high standards and are guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship or material.

Wanan Y-type strainers are available in cast iron, carbon steel, chrome-moly, forged steel, stainless steel and bronze. Connections come in screwed, socketweld and flanged configurations.

Steam, water, oil or gas where protection from foreign matter in a pipeline is required.

    Strainers developed by our company possess the following feature:  compact structure, excellent capability of filtering, wide application, easy maintenance, low price etc.

Target medium of the product are as following:

  ♥ Low corrosive material generated by chemical industry and petrochemical industry, such as: water, oil, ammonia and hydrocarbon etc.

  ♥ Corrosive material generated by petrochemical industry, such as: liquid methane, liquid ammonia, liquid oxygen, and all kinds of refrigerating fluid.

The Wanan Style strainers are constructed from rugged cast iron castings that are machined to exacting specifications.

The Wanan Style B features a tapered bushing in sizes 1/4” thru 2” and bolted cover with gasket for sizes 2-1/2”, 3” and 4”.

All Wanan Style strainers are furnished standard with a NPT blow-off connection and can be supplied with a cast iron blow-off plug upon request.

Standard screens are 20 mesh 304 stainless steel through size 2” . Sizes 2-1/2”, 3” and 4” are furnished with 1/16” perforated 304 stainless steel screens. All screens are spot welded for maximum strength. Different size perorations and meshes are available in stainless steel, monel, and brass to meet specific media requirements. If media is not indicated, screens for water will be supplied.

Self cleaing is accomplished by opening the valve or drain plug connected to blow-off port.

A: Generally it is 5-10 days if the goods are in stock. or it is 15-20 days if the goods are not in stock, it is according to quantity.

Q: Do you provide samples ? is it free or extra?

A: Yes, we could offer the sample for free charge but do not pay the cost of freight.
