Scientific name: Astragalus propinquus Schischkin is a leguminous plant of the yellow genus. Herbs perennial, 50-100 cm high. The main root is thick, woody, often branched, off-white. The stem is erect, with many branches on the upper part, with fine ribs, and white pilose. Pinnate compound leaves have 13-27 leaflets, 5-10 cm long. The racemes are slightly dense, with 10-20 flowers; the total pedicels and leaves are nearly as long or longer, and extend significantly to the fruit stage. Pods are thin, slightly swollen, semi-oval, with fruit neck beyond the calyx; seeds 3-8. Flowering period from June to August, fruiting period from July to September
