Product Description

Optical Prisms are used to redirect light at a designated angle. Optical Prisms are ideal for ray deviation, or for adjusting the orientation of an image. An Optical Prism’s design determines how light interacts with it. When light enters an Optical Prism, it either reflects off an individual surface or several surfaces before exiting, or is refracted as it travels through the substrate.

Amici Roof Prisms

Amici prisms, also called “roof prisms” or “right angle roof prisms,” revert and invert the image as well as bend the line of sight through a 90°angle. Ideal for use in spotting scopes, and any optical instrument where it is desirable to take an inverted image from an objective, turn it right side up, and bend it through a 90° angle in order to maintain the correct visual orientation.
