Product description

Nickel crucible is a kind of high temperature resistant and corrosion resistant experimental vessel commonly used in laboratories. It is made of pure nickel or an alloy with a high nickel content. Due to its excellent physical and chemical properties, nickel crucible is particularly suitable for experimental operations such as melting, heat treatment and chemical analysis at high temperatures. Here are some details about nickel crucibles:

1. Material properties:
    - High melting point: The melting point of nickel is about 1455°C, so the nickel crucible can be used in high temperature environments without damage.
    - Corrosion resistance: Nickel has good corrosion resistance to most inorganic and organic acids, but will be corroded by nitric acid and aqua regia.
    - Anti-oxidation: When the temperature does not exceed 900°C, an oxide film will form on the nickel surface to resist further oxidation.

2. Application areas:
    - Metal analysis: used for wet analysis of ores and metals, such as dissolution and processing of precious metals.
    - Chemical synthesis: suitable for chemical reactions requiring high temperature conditions.
    - Material testing: used for thermal performance testing of materials, such as melting point determination, heat treatment, etc.

3. Things to note:
    - Nickel crucibles are not suitable for alkaline environments and the melting of sulfur-containing substances because nickel is easily contaminated by sulfides.
    - Avoid contact with strong oxidants when using to avoid corrosion.
    - Nickel crucibles should be cleaned promptly after use to maintain their durability and accuracy.

4. Maintenance and maintenance:
    - Use a soft brush and appropriate cleaning agent when cleaning to prevent scratching the surface.
    - When storing, it should be placed in a dry environment to avoid moisture and reaction with other chemical substances.

Nickel crucibles are widely used in laboratories due to their excellent properties, especially where resistance to high heat and chemical corrosion is required. However, due to the high cost, care is usually required during use to ensure its service life and experimental accuracy.
