Transmission Gratings

Transmission Gratings are designed to disperse incident light at specific angles. Angular dispersion is a function

spacing decreases. Coarse groove spacing maintains high efficiency while fine groove spacing reduces transmission 

at long wavelengths resulting in low efficiency.
