Multilayer board

Multilayer board, also known as plywood or plywood, is a type of artificial board with different names depending on the number of layers. Depending on the thickness of 3-9 centimeters, it can also be called 3-9 centimeter board. It has the characteristics of light texture, excellent strength, and excellent elasticity and toughness, and has become one of the commonly used boards in modern home decoration.

A group of veneers in a multi-layer board are assembled perpendicular to each other in the direction of adjacent wood grain. Usually, the surface and inner layers are symmetrically arranged on both sides of the central layer or core. The glued veneers are arranged in a criss cross pattern in the direction of wood grain to form a slab, which is pressed under heating or non heating conditions. The number of layers is generally odd, and there are also even numbers in a few cases.

It is one of the commonly used materials in furniture. As an artificial board, it has the characteristics of light material, good strength, and large board surface. It can be widely used in furniture production, airplanes, ships, trains, automobiles, construction, and packaging boxes, and has become a commonly used board in modern furniture, construction, transportation and other fields.
