The tuning fork level switch is a new type of liquid level switch. The tuning fork vibrates using a crystal excitation. When immersed in liquid, the frequency of the vibration changes. This frequency change is detected by electronic circuitry and outputs a switching value. Also known as an "electric float," the tuning fork level switch can be used in applications where a float level switch is not suitable due to structural issues, turbulence, agitation, bubbles, vibration, or other factors. Since the tuning fork level switch has no moving parts, it requires no maintenance or adjustment, making it a superior alternative to the float level switch.
