Tantalum is a chemical element with symbol Ta and atomic number 73. Formerly known as tantalum, it is named after Tantalus, the villain in Greek mythology. Tantalum is a rare, hard, blue-gray, lustrous transition metal that is highly resistant to corrosion. It is part of the group of refractory metals and is widely used as a minor component in alloys.
Tantalum and tantalum alloy (such as Ta-2.5W, Ta-10W, Ta-40Nb, etc.) tubes have the characteristics of high melting point, corrosion resistance, and good cold workability, and can be used in high temperature, chemical and atomic industries. Mainly used in the production of chemical processes Reaction vessels, heat exchangers, pipes, condensers, bayonet heaters, spiral wires, U-shaped tubes, thermocouples plus protection tubes, and liquid metal container tubes.
Tantalum tubes can be used with other glass-lined vessels, tantalum thermocouples and tantalum thermocouple sheaths, tantalum hot wells, tantalum emitters, tantalum sleeves, tantalum plasma spray focal points, and tantalum tube-style sputtering targets for fluid material tanks.
