Description of Grade Ti-6Al-4V Titanium plate

Grade5 titanium plate is the main component of Ti-6Al-4V, it has good comprehensive performance, good microstructure stability, good toughness, plasticity and high temperature deformation performance, can be better hot pressure processing, quenching, aging to strengthen the alloy, long service life, and light weight.  

Titanium Grade 5 Ti 6al-4v Sheet & Plate Due to its ability to withstand extreme temperatures, good corrosion resistance and thermal stability, Grade 5 6al-4v is the most commonly used titanium grade among all titanium alloy sheets.

Titanium plate has high strength and low density, good mechanical properties, good toughness and corrosion resistance. In addition, the process performance of titanium plate is poor, and it is difficult to cut and process. During thermal processing, it is very easy to absorb impurities such as hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon. Also have poor wear resistance, complex production process. The most widely used titanium plates are Ti-6Al-4V (TC4), Ti-5Al-2.5Sn (TA7) and industrial pure titanium (grade 1, grade 2 and grade 3).
Titanium plates are mainly used to make aircraft engine compressor components, followed by structural parts of rockets, missiles and high-speed aircraft. Titanium and its alloys have been used in general industry to make electrodes in electrolysis industry, condensers in power stations, heaters in petroleum refining and seawater desalination, and environmental pollution control devices. Titanium and its alloys have become a corrosion-resistant structural material. In addition, it is also used in the production of hydrogen storage materials and shape memory alloys.
Titanium has high strength, and the tensile strength of pure titanium can reach up to 180kg/mm2. Some steels are stronger than titanium alloys, but the specific strength (the ratio of tensile strength to density) of titanium alloys exceeds that of high-quality steel. Titanium alloy has good heat resistance strength, low temperature toughness and fracture toughness, so it is mostly used as aircraft engine parts and rocket and missile structural parts. Titanium alloys can also be used as fuel and oxidant storage tanks and high-pressure containers.
