Underleaf pearl (scientific name: Phyllanthus urinaria L.)
Annual herbaceous plant, several inches to feet Xu. Stems are purplish red with longitudinal ribs. The leaves are alternate, arranged in a compound tile shape, forming two rows, much like pinnate compound leaves, the leaves are oblong, two or three points long, all green, apex pointed or obtuse, base round, few petioles. Xia Qiu blooms small white flowers along the stems and leaves, without stalks. After anthesis, the fruits are oblate and round, shaped like beads, arranged under the false compound leaves.
