Hops (scientific name: Humulus lupulus Linn.) Is a mulberry family, a perennial climbing herb of the Humulus genus, with densely dense fluff and barb spines on the stems, branches, and petioles. The leaves are ovate or broadly ovate, the tip is sharply pointed, the base is heart-shaped or nearly round, the edges are thickly serrated, the surface is densely covered with small bristles, and the petiole is no longer than the blade. The male flowers are arranged in a panicle, with 5 perianth and stamens; each two flowers of the female are born in the armpits of a bract; the bracts are arranged in a tile shape into a nearly spherical spike. The ear is cone-shaped, the achene is flat, and the flowering period is autumn.
