Scientific name: Clerodendranthus spicatus (Thunb.) C. Y. Wu is a labiatae, and is a perennial herbaceous plant. The stem is erect, up to 1.5 meters high, quadrangular, with leaf ovate, rhombic ovate, or ovate oblong, papery, olive green above, grayish green below, flattened dorsal ventral petiole, pubescent. Parachute inflorescences; bracts round-ovate, apex sharp, glabrous above, densely pubescent below, marginally ciliate; pedicel and inflorescence densely pubescent. Calyx egg-shaped, corolla light purple or white, outside puberulent, filaments filamentous, toothless, small anthers, finger-like swelling in front of disk. The small nuts are ovate and bloom from May to November.
