7. Vapor pressure: 0.0±2.0 mmHg at 25°C

Application field
Because of its water insolubility, ethyl cellulose is mainly used as a tablet binder and film coating material. It can also be used as a matrix material blocker to prepare various types of matrix sustained-release tablets.
Used as a mixed material to prepare coated sustained-release preparations and sustained-release pellets.
Used as an organic vehicle to prepare electronic pastes.
It is used as encapsulation auxiliary material to prepare slow-release microcapsules, so that the drug effect can be continuously released, and prevent some water-soluble drugs from acting prematurely.
It can also be used as a dispersant, stabilizer, water-retaining agent in various pharmaceutical dosage forms, to prevent the drug from becoming damp and deteriorate, and to enhance the safe storage of tablets.
Ethyl cellulose is widely used in coatings. It can also be used as the basic material of solid lubricants for stamping metal workpieces. In microcircuit printing, ethyl cellulose is used as a vehicle.
In the radio industry, it is used as a high-level insulating material, and as a special film in a protective coating, such as a coating layer for rocket propellant. It can be used as hot-melt adhesives and coatings for cables, papers, textiles, etc., as well as insulation for extrusion lines and toughness enhancers for plastics.
It can also be used for pigment grinding base materials, printing inks, molded plastic powders, explosive fuzes, and vitamin formulations.
Used as a peelable protective layer to prevent corrosion and damage to metal parts before use, and as a peelable paint to protect fragile glassware.
In adhesives, textiles and fibers, medicine and food, and other industries, there are still many uses.
