Scraper Fineness Gauge
Various solid materials have to be ground into fine particles to disperse in the fluid device. The physical properties of the final dispersion is usually called “fineness gauge”. It depends not only on the actual size of individual particles, but also on the extent they are distributed. Scraper fineness gauge can indicate the coarse particles and aggregation of particles.
Scraper fineness gauge is made in strict accordance with GB / T 1724, GB/T6753.1, ISO1524 standard. It mensurates paint particles’ size and particle distribution in the dope, printing ink and other liquid to control quality during producing, storage and using. Scraper fineness gauge is widely used in many industries, such as paint, plastic, printing ink, paper, ceramic, medicine, food and so on.
Scraper fineness gauge is flat steel with groove on the surface. The groove depth is changed from maximum at one side to zero at the end. The groove depth value Marked on the flat steel to read the particles’ size. The particle distribution’s unit is um or Hegman, from 0-8 Hegman. 0 Hegman=100 um, 4 Hegman=50 um, 8 Hegman= 0 um.Using: Put some particles on the deeper groove, then use scraper to scrape them from deeper to low groove. We can read the particle’s size on the point there are more roughness particles.
Technical parameters:
Material: High Wear and corrosion resistance of stainless steel (a standard scraper)
Ordering Information: BGD 1250 --- small scraper (for BGD 241)
BGD 1251 --- Large scraper (for BGD 242, BGD 243, BGD 244)
