Puerarin is also called Kakkonein. It is an isoflavone derivative with crown-expanding effect isolated from the Chinese medicine Pueraria. Found in the roots of the legume Pueraria lobata (Willd) Ohwi and Pueraria thunbergiana Benth. With antipyretic, sedative and increasing coronary blood flow, it has a protective effect on acute myocardial hemorrhage caused by pituitary.
