Continuous Basalt Fibre (CBF) is an inorganic non-metallic continuous fiber material produced from natural volcanic extrusive rocks. These rocks are crushed and added to a melting furnace, where they are melted at 1450-1500℃. The melt is then drawn at high speed through a platinum-rhodium alloy bushing. As a green and pollution-free new material in the 21st century, CBF is one of the four high-performance fibers in China. It exhibits excellent properties in terms of strength, high and low temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, thermal insulation, sound insulation, flame retardancy, and chemical and electrical insulation.
