202 stainless steel is an austenitic chromium-nickel-manganese alloy. It features high ductility, good corrosion resistance, and exceptional toughness at both high and low temperatures. 202 stainless steel is one of the most widely used 200 series stainless steels. 202 stainless steel stabilizes the austenitic structure through the addition of nickel and manganese, preventing the formation of detrimental phases such as sigma phase or chromium carbides.
