Lobelia (scientific name: Lobelia chinensis Lour.), Lobelia family Lobelia is a perennial herb. Stems are weak, creeping, rooting at nodes, branches erect. Leaves alternate, sessile or subsessile, elliptic-lanceolate to strip-shaped. Flowers usually 1 branched upper branch axillary; pedicels thin, bracteoles glabrous; calyx tube oblong-conical; corolla pink or white. Capsule inverted cone-shaped, about 6 mm long. Seeds elliptic, slightly flattened, nearly flesh-colored. Flowers and fruits from May to October.
