Lily, scientific name (Lilium brownii var. Viridulum Baker), is a perennial herb bulbous plant of the genus Liliaceae (scientific name: Lilium). It is native to China and is mainly distributed in temperate regions of the northern hemisphere such as eastern Asia, Europe, and North America. There are at least 120 varieties, of which 55 are produced in China. In recent years, many new varieties have been produced through artificial hybridization, such as Asian lily, perfume lily, fire lily and so on. Bulbs are rich in starch, edible, and also medicinal.
